  • Space Oddity

I've just finished reading a book by a guy I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of. Chris Hadfield. Name familiar to anyone? No? Not really surprising I guess. He's a Canadian astronaut. He made this wonderful video of singing Space Oddity on the ISS (International Space Station), with some of the lyrics adapted to the situation.

So I just had to share it.....

One of the interesting snippets from the book is that while on the ISS for 6 months, the skin on the soles of his feet became very soft, but the tops of his feet became calloused from having feet hooked under the toe bars all the time to keep himself in place.

How did I miss that thread back then? Thanks for searching it out VC. I've watched a few of the short vids he made about how you do stuff in space. They are all brill.
