  • green potatoes

Each year I grow first earlies in a bag in the polytunnel. Having had a furtle around, I reckon they're about a week or so away from being ready. However some of the soil has fallen away from the stem exposing a couple of pots which have a faint green tinge to the skins. Question is: if I re-cover them, will they lose the greening? Or once green, will they stay green?
    Are y'oroight booy?

I think they will stay green, and if green, I won't eat them. Why not replant them and get more potatoes?

Apparently (although I haven't tried this), if you exclude light from green potatoes they will gradually lose the green. Worth covering them up and seeing what happens.
