  • Not so plumptious plums.

    My plum tree flowered for the first time this year. Most of the flowers produced a small pea sized fruit and it looked like it was going to be a bumper crop. Since then, only a dozen or so look like they will make it to full plumpocity. Is this normal for a tree in its first year of producing fruit? The tree is in a big pot grafted onto a dwarf stock. It is kept well watered and fed. It suffered from a great deal of leaf curl earlier in the year with no evidence of infestation by anything.
