Strawberries are confused, and are producing flowers, they are also sending out so many runners that are now growing in my paths, that are chippings? I intend to make a new bed for next year, using some of these and cut loads off today, just leaving them in water. The existing ones are about 4 years old and didn't do so well this year, so guess need to be replaced

My question is, what is the best compost/filing/ manure etc for them as they seem to have no problem growing in the path is this the kind of mix they like, am going to put them in a raised bed. And is it best to do it now?

    Thanks all.

No idea about compost I'm afraid Dorothy, but my strawberries seem to be producing flowers again as well, I thought it was a little odd.
And like yours, runners are coming out in all directions - I have already potted 6 runners, ready for next year. At this rate they will be taking over the garden!!

I tend to just use my usual seed and cutting mix.
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
