  • Kale identification

    Hi Guys,
I lost my note and now do not know which one is the dwarf variety and which is Black Tuscany.

Can anyone identify which is which please?

    TIA

Black Tuscany will produce long fairly narrow leaves.

I can see Curley Kale in your piccie (Probably dwarf) but not Black Tuscany . More like Pak Choi or spinach?

None of those plants look like Black Tuscany to me, more like ordinary curly kales. Of course, the seedling form is not always the same as the larger plant, so just grow them on until they are larger when it should be much clearer. Black Tuscany does not look like any other brassica or kale and is very distinctive, with the long leaves with a tough stem that is mentioned above

As the others have said TIA, neither look like Black Tuscany and like Snadger says, one looks like curly kale and the other resembles spinach. Pot them on and wait and see what develops

The darker curly raggy edged type at the front.

                  Thanks Snadger

I did do an image search but the results were confusing with different results for the same type of plant

I think they are young Pak Choi plants, in the background of your last pic is a row of curly kale...

They also look a bit like chinese kale. Possibility if you're sure it's kale.
