  • Shallots in pots

I'm after a plan number 2 because I can't he sowing things lol, I've got one section of a raised bed approx 3ft square the other half has garlic and Im going to have leeks and shallots poss ready at the same time to transplant into it, I was going to try and get some spinach in first which I'm going to transplant this weekend then either the leeks or shallots to follow
If I get the leeks in do you think I'd have any joy with the shallots 'zebrune' in morrisons pots? I was thinking maybe 3 in a sort of triangle? If you sow them in rows I'm pretty sure you can nearly have them touching each other but not sure about them in pots?

I was given 10 shallot sets last year by a friend and grew them in the smaller Morrisons pots.

They did surprising well at one to the pot.

I grow plenty of onions in containers but never done shallots. I'd agree with potty that one per flower tub sounds about right as they do tend to spread a bit.
