  • green zebra tomatoes

despite good intentions,my tomatoes are growing jungle style and the label fairy has visited again this year and removed all my carefully written labels on cut up margerine tubs.
So I have grown green zebra tomatoes together with other sorts including Tigerella. How will I tell if its a ripe zebra or or non-ripe Tigerella? apart from the obvious tasting it.

Are anyone else's tomatoes being very slow to ripen? I have only picked a few so far.

Green Zebra ripens from green with green stripes to green with yellow stripes. Tigerella ripens to red with yellow stripes. In general, green when ripe tomatoes have more of a subtle ripening colour change than most other coloured tomatoes, taking on a slightly yellow hint over the green. Giving a gentle squeeze is a good way to tell if you have any doubts.
