  • Moving autumn planted garlic?

Will it transplant okay at this time of year? I've been sharing a plot but have been lucky enough to get our own a few weeks ago. Are they robust enough to be moved 400 yards to our new plot?

I've read about people growing garlic in modules and then planting them out in the spring. So it looks as through they can be moved?

Use a bulb planter to get them out and replant them with as much root as possible. Just don't let them dry out is my advice.,

Many thanks. As I have 50 plants going, and as the plot owner doesn't mind, I'm going to leave them where they are and try to keep them happy with a longer distance relationship...
