  • Courgettes and Cucumbers

Does anyone know wether it is okay to underplant cucumbers with courgettes. I am fast running out of space for all of my veg and was wondering if this would work.
I am training the cues up poles and as courgettes are low growing i had this brainwave - or so i hope.
    Any advice would be apreciated.

I don't know but the courgettes might climb up smothering the cukes.

I think beans are a good companion to courgettes but maybe climing beans are better bet. the classic is sweetcorn. You can get bush type courgettes that are compact rather than rambling

With the cukes i guess the dwarf french would work well

Yes im already doing the three sisters.
But i love beans and doing climbing and dwarf. Im underplanting the sweetcorn and blue lake beans with the butternuts.
But im shocked at how fast the ground is filling up. Every space matters now.
