    discovered them today on bolthardy plants and rubbed em off, wondered what they are/were?

      White fly. Pretty harmless, just spray with soapy water.

          too small for butterfly eggs, scouring the web , it looks as thought they are beetroot leaf miner - as other clusters have the tell tale leaf miner tracks leading off. thanks anyway
