Asparagus

Hi, I'm new, not only to here but to gardening as well.

At the moment I have asparagus growing on my window sill and they are approx 3cm tall. On the "instructions it says" once 5cm tall start thinning them out. What does this mean?

Also I'm about to move house next month and have a load of seeds :

spring onion
sweet pepper
chilli pepper (cayenne)
chilli pepper (jalapeno)
coriander
broccoli
carrots (early nantes)
spinich
onion
cauliflower
beetroot

can I plant these in june when I make my veggie beds??

'Thinning out' assumes that you have sown a lot of seed close together... so as the plants get bigger you need to increase the space around them, by thinning out

June is very late to be sowing peppers & chillies: they won't have enough time to ripen (my chillies were sown in Feb, but March is OK)

I'll just keep my chilli's for next year

Doesn't it say on the packet what the sowing dates are? And where are you? that makes a difference too (you can put it in your profile, then we won't keep asking )

so your growing season is even shorter than mine. You should get something from your spring onion,
coriander, early nantes and beetroot
