  • Lime tree problems

In October, all the leaves drpped off my lime tree bar one, and that dropped off at christmas, so I was left with a 4 foot twig in a large pot.

A week ago, I noticed new growth at the base of the twig right on the graft point, then another slightly up from there, these seemed to flourish, but there is no growth above that,

Should I cut away the twig above the growth, or just leave it?

Just leave it for now, it may still grow later in the year , chopping it off now may get die back from the cut and kill a bit of the bit below it,

leave any growth on the plant for now, even if from the rootstock, as any leaves give the plant energy , if later in the year the growth from on the graft is from the rootstock not the lime , remove it to increase the growth of the lime ( but not till later in the year when the plant has more energy)
