  • 12 Limes

Hi I have just bought 12 Limes for a pound seemed like a good offer. They are not something I cook with a lot, anyone any nice ideas of what to do with them? I fancy a Christmas cake, something different

You need fresh limes to make a Mohito cocktail. White Rum, Sugar, Lime juice. Delicious.

Better than Lemon in a G&T!

Make some Citrus Oil; Good quality Olive/Rapeseed Oil, add the zest and juice of the Limes/Lemons or both. Great for marinading Lamb - see the Chat Thread, or Ainsley Harriot's Barbecue Bible. YUMMY!

You can freeze the juice and zest...that's a fantastic price...don't feel an urgency to use them all in the next few days before they go off

I adore Roses Lime marmalade- but never thought about making it!!...bet the real thing would be less sickly???

Orange and lime would go I'm sure- but I'd be tempted just to go for lime...sounds delish!!

I'd have thought you make it just like any other marmalade, just fruit, sugar, and a bit of water to cook it in!

You can make that hot lime chutney you get in Indian restaurants - mmmm!

                        Lime pickle
A batch of Thai/Massaman curry paste (stores longer as a paste rather than a sauce)
I used three in a 'proper' fajita sauce the other night.

Where did you buy 12 for a pound? I love limes!
