  • Spring onions

I grow spring onions from seeds. They are all doing well....BUT

I have a question of sorts.

My mum used to cut the bottom of the spring onions (that she shop bought) and put them in the ground. They grew nicely again.

I have done this too...just habit really as she always did it.

The ones i grow from seed, i use them as cut and come again, just cutting them off at ground level and they always come back again.

So, do any of you do this too? The reason i ask is, that i have never met anyone else that does this.

I am also wondering what else this would work with (apart from cut and come again lettuce)

If someone has lost their smile, give them one of yours. :
