  • Courgettes - the continuing story

    Hi All
Thanks for all the past advice. I just had to show off my courgettes that you have all helped me grow.

I think the Sunday roast will taste that much better with these on the plate.

I have picked some round courgettes but my "proper" courgettes are nowhere near ready.
                Yoursl look fantastic.
Could you please tell us the variety.

They look great! I now have official courgette envy. I thought mine were doing well as I have one fruit starting, but the whole plant on mine looks tiny compared to yours! What variety are they and have you been feeding them anything special?

excellent. what a lovely looking courgette. I've been eye-ing my courgettes up and telling them to hurry up!! So far only the first flush of male flowers so hoping for the next set to be a mix.

                        Hi All

These are 'Johnsons seeds - All Green bush '
Some of you may remember I planted them the first week of March. I was told I had planted them a month early, so I dumped them in the GH to give me more space on my window sill. Somehow they survived the cold nights and are doing well. I did plant some more mid April. These are just forming their first flower heads.

As far as feeding them, I have started putting in some wilkos own tomato food. This has only been done since the courgettes started forming.

                          Hello all!

I have had my courgettes planted out since early May and have been harvesting fruits for the last week. We started our seeds in small pots in the kitchen in the middle of March. They soon took over and we moved them into larger pots in the growhouse. Planted them out early May and have been enjoying delicious courgettes all week!

First time growing fruit and veg and thrilled with the results. Found this website to have the best advice to just had to join! Thanks everyone, happy growing (and eating)!

The more you pick, the more that'll grow I like courgettes smaller - around 3-4 inches long really nice done on a griddle pan or bbq!
