I took loads off last year, went on holiday and they had produced loads more. Still needs loads of support though as they tend to start to fall apart with the weight of the toms!!
If it ain't broke...fix it til it is!

Mine are like a big green mess! one fell over, (or tried to grow on the floor!) even with support and so far only one lot of flowers between them...certainly not like my other ones, which seem quite elegant in comparison

On my destructions for roma it says you can remove side shoots if they are getting to big, but its not essential.

I always thought that Roma were a semi determinate type but can't find any evidence of that from a quick google.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I've just been going by what it says on the back of my pkt which were free with GYO. I'm sure it says semi-determinate.

Maybe that's where I read it then, gave my packet away to a friend at work though as I didn't find them particularly interesting when I grew them before and I already had far too many tom seeds.
