  • Heavy rain and garlic?

My garlic is outside at the moment planted up in individual pots. We are expecting heavy rain over the next 3 days, up to 40mm a day. Do I leave them outside or should I bring them into the shed?

Leave em be - mine have been in pots outside since November. They'll be fine.

Just make sure there are holes in the bottom of the pot or they will sail away

Garlic, like onions I think, doesn't like having a soggy bottom, just make sure they're well drained.

If you find you do, there are a number of products available that can help.

Have decided not to risk the soggy bottom and moved the garlic into the shed for now
