  • Early potatoes

This year I grew Pentland Javelin "first early"new potatoes, they were really good, unfortunately we have used them all.If next year I were to plant some about two month after the first planting would they mature later therfor giving me a longer cropping season. If not are there any second earlies or mid season potatoes that are similar to Pentland Javelin

Yes you could stagger your planting to make them last longer but you would have to be aware of the threat of blight. Earlies don't usually store well and that is why you grow maincrops which can be lifted fresh later in the year and stored.
I lifted 6 rows of spuds yesterday and there was no slug damage.
I put this down the fact that I used nemaslug in July which sorted those pesty slugs out.
