  • Holey Aubergines

This is my first year growing aubergines (Calliope - in pots on patio) and I am finally getting a fair few fruit on the plants. However EVERY single one of them has been eaten into. They each have at least one hole, about half a cm across. I don't think its slugs as there have been no slime trails and the only other insects I have seen on the plants are ants. I cant find caterpillars or aphids or anything else....any clues??? Maybe if I figure out what it is I can come up with a plan of attack/prevention for next year!

    Cheers!
If it ain't broke...fix it til it is!

Slugs and snails got mine too- they left NO slim trails.
Me thinks they are getting sneaky!

I'd be inclined to go with slugs or snails.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
