  • White Aphids on blackcurrants

2 of my blackcurrant bushes have been attacked with white aphids of some sort and are not at all happy. I have sprayed them with something that supposedly kills them but it has not really made much difference. They are killing the leaves.
Would it be ok to cut them out and burn them, or will it just kill the plant anyway? I can't spray again for a couple of weeks.

    Any advice greatly received!

You may well have killed them but the damage they have done to the leaves won't go away. Just wait and see if the new growth looks OK before you take more drastic action. I just use weak washingup liquid on mine and it seems to do the trick.

    Best of luck.
