  • Chinese artechokes?

    Hi all

This one for those who have grown them or are going to grow them, my order for chinese artechokes arrived this morning.

20 tubers from dobies, I am very surprised as to how small they are the biggest is about 3cm long, I thought they would be bigger than this or is this normal?

      Yup!!

I've not grown them for a while- but I'll certainly grow them again!
Nice gentle nutty flavour..bit of a pain to wash though...get yr self a nailbrush and you'll be fine!
If you don't get every bit then they'll grow again the following year...but not enough to be a nuisance like JAs

My kids loved them rolled in butter on halloween - 'buttered grubs'

Might even order some for this year now that I to come to think about it!!!!
