Do strawberries need to be pollinated by bees and such? I am asking cos mine have ended up in the bed covered with enviromesh. Bad planning but hey A couple have flowers on though

Why did you cover with environmesh? I cover with netting after the fruit has set and to keep the birds off which are the major pests.

I'd peel the net off them as i believe they do need a wee bit of insect help if you want fruit...Mine are starting to flower too.

Mine are in the greenhouseith lots of blossom on.
I always pollinate mine with a feather.
just rub it from one flower to the other and they will be fine.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

I use an old make fine make up brush, seems to do the trick with the tomatoes and chillis too.
