  • recurrants - normal compost or ericaceous?

Not sure and can't find anything that says not to use normal......

But don't want to kill them as soon as planted!

    Thanks

I just used normal last year for my cuttings and they all survived to be juveniles.
Dont know whether that was luck or luck though.

I have some whitecurrants that were here when we moved in, they're in normal soil and have been for about 5 years according to my neighbour.

They seem to be doing fine, we're going to give them a good pruning this year and see what kind of fruit we can get out of them

all my fruit bushes have gone in normal soil,(including blueberries) i'm gonna get some of that fertilizer for acid loving plants and keep my fingers crossed ..... apparently most of the fruit bushes prefer it slightly acidic, mine have 2 chances too ..... none and even less lol

If you are worried then just mix plenty of peat with your growing medium. It helps neutralise any lime that's about. I hope so anyway 'cos that is what my new whitecurrants are in.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
