I know this is not generally a gardening question but I do feed the birds in my garden to benefit my veg growing.

I have a big problem - I have just been down to my peanut storage bin and shock horror water has got in and some of the peanuts are mouldy. Will I have to throw the whole lot out (20kg bag) and start again or can I still put them out for the birds and squirrels?

I wouldn't risk it. Moulds can be toxic. Not all, but it's not worth the risk.

thats what I thought - damn thats 20kg of peanuts down the drain unless I go through the whole lot and pick out the bad ones and keep my eye on the others to see if they go mouldy
