I have tonnes of chestnuts, have found a recipe which looks good (chicken, bacon and chestnuts) Any ideas how I peel the b****s??

I have boiled a load in their skins but am just shredding my nails now!

I always end up splitting my thumb nail away from the flesh behind

Best way is to get someone else to do it for you!

I have learnt that if you peel them while they are scaldingly hot they are easy peasy
        (but scaldingly hot)
        Ah well, c'est la vie.

Bit of a fag but not that bad - alternatively you could buy them in ready cooked tins!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
