Wasps eating my apples

I have 6 apple trees and I am having trouble with wasps eating the apples on 2 of them. One tree has lost nearly half its apples to the wasps, and the second, a young Bardsey Apple Tree which had 19 lovely apples on it, has now begun to succumb ! I go out every day and spray the wasps that are inside the apples with soapy water, but the next day there they are again munching away, you can actually hear them, it is so annoying. Does anyone know why they are attacking my trees, and what can I do about it ??:mad:

That's what wasps do, they eat ripe fruit.

Try hanging some wasp traps in the tree (basically a jar with fruit juice in it, with a small hole for the wasps to get in ... they can't fly back out again, and die happy, in the juice)
