  • Pak Choi

My Pak Choi was going great guns but I noticed this afternoon that there are small little buds forming on the top, humph! Does this means they're bolting? I nipped them off but will they fatten up any or should I use them now?

Hello Amanda, your pak choi is bolting. I would use whatever you have now.
Pak choi does best early and late. The stuff I planted in March was great - we had to eat it with everything. The later stuff just bolted.
I'm going to plant some more in August.

SquashySue, you can grow pak choi in a container as long as it is about 4" deep. It's very easy. I would wait until August now as it bolts in the summer. It likes to be well watered.
