Has anyone ideas to strip the kernels from corn cobs? I have tried, but all I get is corn mush!

Sounds like when I strip Pomegranets... they tend to ping round the kitch a bit. Any suggestions to try and limit the mileage they fly?Shortie

You'd think so by the sound of it wouldn't you?
No, I cut them in quarters and turn the skins inside out as I find it easiest to pop them out, but some really do 'pop' out!Shortie

Hi Squirrel
I cheat and buy them, but there was an article in a gardening mag a few months back about growing pomegranates over here but I can't remember which mag it was.... I'll take a look the weekend and see if I can find it....Shortie

Well now! Had no idea that pomegranates were frost hardy or that easy to gow! Will make a point of buying some next time I see them and have a go! Thanks for the web link Strepsy
Raining here and the earth sucking up the water like a sponge! I'm sure the plants have grown an inch overnight with all the lovely wet! Hell driving back from Heathrow in it though even if it was a Sunday morning (early!)
