  • Planting Brassicas

As the brassica family like to be planted in firm ground if you are a no dig gardener using raised beds how do you plant your brassica, I am actually wondering about Brussels Sprouts which in my experience usually give blown buttons if not planted firmly, so if you grow them do you get good results and if so what do you do
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

    Could you stake them?

I'm no dig gardener but I do tread my brassicas in firmly otherwise you have disappointing sprouts and swaying kale. At the end when I pull up the plants that's usually enough to disturb and break up the soil ready for the next crops to be planted.
