Default Lots to Swap!...

Hi there,

I have a 'few' things to swap if anyone is interested…

Unopened current year packs:
Antirrhinum Magus ‘Brighton Rock’
Tomato ‘Gardener’s Delight’
Chives
Cabbage Kalikos

Current year excess:
Cercidiphyllum Japonicum
Cosmos Gazebo mixed

Seed from last year:
Climbing French been ‘Hunter’
Lovage
Salad Burnet
Mint Water
Telekia Speciosa
Basil Sweet Genovese
Chervil
Mustard ‘Red Giant’

Home seed:
Fatsia Japonica (from this season)
Coriander
Rhubarb
Cosmos Sensation Tall Mix
Dianthus deltoides ‘Artic Fire’

I’m interested in vegetables that can’t be easily bought from the supermarket and not interested into F1s.
The items below are some examples of what I would be interested in...but I like to try different varieties, so if you don’t have any of the below but you are interested on the seeds I have to swap... don't worry, just let me know what you have.

Kale ‘Cavalo Nero’
Artichokes
Specked or mix colour lettuce
Pumpkin ‘Munchkin’
Tomato Legend
Sorrel Buckler Leaf
Dark scabiosas
Aquilegia ‘Nora Barlow’
Aqulegia ‘Frilly Dilly Rose’
Hardy geraniums

Oooops - I wrote far more than I had planned!....
Anyone interested?

Default Hi GargenHappy!

Unfortunately I don't have the mint water any longer (it's a mint for damp ground) and some of the other items you are interested in are also the ones I was looking for... but I do have these:

mustard giant red
cabbage kalikkos
kale nero di toscana precose (same/similar to kale cavalo nero)

You may also have some of the ones below (I had a look in some of your other posts), just let me know which you would like...

salad burnet
lovage
dwarf French bean rocquencourt
artichoke violetto di chioggia
artichoke gros de laon
radicchio cesare
cabbage tronchuda portuguesa
parsley portuguesa comum
two other portuguese seeds: nabo roxo (turnip) & couve nabica (turnip greens)

Myself I would love to give these a try:

Giant walking stick kale
large leaf cilantro
asparagus beans
henderson bush lima bean
cranberry beans
amethyst cabbage
pink lipstick kale
sea foam kale
speckled cranberry bean
tall zinnas
yellow canary vine

The names of your kales are really great! I just had to google them to see what they looked like.

Hi Gardenhappy,

I had a look and it seems that quite a few English seed merchants sell to America therefore I assume that's not illegal - does anyone else know otherwise?

I will investigate a little more and get back to you.

Default Hi Gardenhappy,

As I said, I did some research into this an it seems that according to DEFRA (our government department for such things) most seed coming into the UK (including things like cabbage and bean seed) will need a “phytosanitary certificate” :
http://www.defra.gov.uk/planth/publi...r/impguide.pdf - Appendix A, Section III)

It also seems that all seed sent to US needs the same certificate or an import permit.
http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text...1.1.6.7&idno=7)

Sorry Gardenhappy…but this seems a bit of a long-winded process for me…
