Welcome to the Vine Wifey. I think you're too late for Melons for this year. They need a long , hot summer. I'm trying them for the first time this year. I won't be disappointed if they don't make it, but giving it my best shot.
You've got plenty of time for lots of veg - but maybe you have to plan for fruit for next year.

Hi Alice, What type of melon are you growing? I am trying a melon called Nutmeg this year. I have three plants which have been flowering for the past two weeks or so. My problem is, plenty of flowers which then drop off. I have tried to polinate them with a paint brush but still the same problem. Any help greately appreciated.

I grew melons last year with a lot of sucsess and am growing them again this year. They like it humid so water the ground in your greenhouse when its hot because they love it,bearing in mind they are tropical plants originally.
