  • free to good home: Jerusalem Artichokes

These are champing at the bit to be planted and I have run out of space. I don't know the variety but they are reasonably lacking in knobbliness which is always a bonus I think. They taste good too.

I have enough for a couple of people (at least) to plant a 6ft row.

Ideally it makes sense for these to go locally so either Bath or Bristol and environs would make the most sense. I'm happy to post but the postage might be high (£5.00 maybe but I haven't checked yet.).

Hi mystictree and welcome to the Grapevine.
I'm sure someone will come along to take you up on your kind offer.

I hope so but I won't be surprised if they don't. I sure we could end world hunger with this lovely veg; the diners just need a suitable introduction I think

I think you need to be good friends to share a meal of JAs

You just need to let your gut bacteria get used to them. Everything settles down when you eat them often.
