  • Heritage blue potatoes

Last year I purchased some heritage blue potatoes which didn't grow well. I kept the very small potatoes and replanted this year and have just harvested a large quantity of potatoes.
What do I do with them as the flesh is - well the internet says blue - but I mashed some yesterday and it was grey! Rather off putting to look at but did taste good!
It is said that they are rich in the antioxidant ' anthocyanin'.

    Any suggestions for recipes?

I grow salad blue every year, I like them boiled or even better rolled in olive oil and then roasted in the oven. Keep their colour really well that way. I'm not keen on them mashed either but roasted, really good

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
