Default Help

Last Christmas the OH, me and a couple of friends all bought a square foot of land in Scotland just for a bit of fun. The Deeds say that we are now entitled as land owners to be known as Laird or Lady. We are all going on holiday together in September, and we have decided to have a "Lairds and Ladies Night" I would love to cook a typical scottish meal as one of our friends is coming over from Australia and we would like him to try Haggis. As I'm on hols, don't want to be spending all my time in the kitchen, so thought a cock-a -leekie soup would be a nice easy starter, followed of course by Haggis, Neeps and Tatties.I would like some advice on a scottish pud please bearing in mind that OH does not like cream or rice. Something not too taxing as I will probably have had a few drams whilst preparing the meal.
Thanks in advance.
Sal

Thanks Two Sheds, I'm thinking maybe Gingerbread cake, (all the better for keeping) I can make it before we go and take it with me. Then serve it warm with Whisky Cream.
