    Hi does anyone still store food in this way .




    does anyone still do bottling ? vegetables etc or soups etc
    Many years ago before the age of freezers my mum and day had hundreds of kilner jars which they will fill with runner beans , peas carrots etc
    I am part of a project which is run in Bulawayo Zimbabwe , we hope to do some bottling or canning , as the electric there is intermittent freezing food isn't a good option , so i was working on may doing bottling ? if anyone does this or has any knowledge please let me know as i am wanting to lean quite quickly , it also has to be safe

    Hi waggy, I started canning a couple of years ago. I'd still consider myself a relative newbie on the subject though and use canning websites.

      Yes, I bottle stuff, mainly for passatta and various fruits.

      Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

      Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
