  • What is the best chicken keeping book?

My hubby is going to start on the chicken ark very soon for the 3/4 chickens we are hoping to start keeping.
I want to be as prepared as possible, and I have been looking at books. I bought 'Keeping Pet Chickens' which it seems was written by the guys from Omlet. This book is all fine, but gives very little actual information, just seems to try to convince the reader that chickens are easier to keep than goldfish, lol.
Has anyone come across any great books about keeping chickens that they could recommend?

There are lots of suggestions on an earlier thread on here somewhere, just keeping looking through.

Starting with Chickens by Katie Thear is a popular one for quite a few.

When I first got chickens it was just before my birthday so my entire family bought me chookbooks (obviously, they had no confidence in me whatsoever) and none of them have any useful info.

Katie Thear is good, I need to get another copy as a friend borrowed mine and I never saw it again. I'm just waiting for the Haynes Chicken Manual to arrive from Amazon. I looked through this in a book store and it was very comprehensive.
