i am afraid if its warbling then its very likely to be a young boy. is it kept with other cockerels? sometimes the cockerels development is suppressed by more dominant cockerels. it becomes a "closet cockerel" if you will. remove the dominant ones and the the young often "comes out of the closet" and flourishes into a full blown bird.
