sin bins seems to be the most succesful method wire mesh cage so she can feel the air underneath her and not being able to settle puts her off or if possible block the nest box off

You can keep turfing her out of the nest box for a few days. Eventually she'll get the picture - but they can be particularly prickly when crossed if they're broody. You might get hen-pecked!

My broody is going in the sin bin tomorrow. I've been turfing her off the nest for a few days and boy does she get mad. Trouble is she's taking it out on the 3 new girls I got last Saturday. I want them to start using the nest box not be frightened to go in because there's a mad hen with raging hormones.
