  • Tall, Dark & Handsome..................

    This is Malcom.

My tall dark and handsome cockerel who I have to re home. Its not his fault as he's a gentle soul. I'm poorly and can't look after my chooks, sadly they all need a home. the girls are going to a neighbour, she already has a cockerel with her girls.

Malc is beautiful, kind and protective to his ladies, always lets them eat first. He is a purebred, trouble is I cant remember what sort!!!

He can be accompanied by two of his ladies if this helps him find a forever home, the ladies are ex rescues and are sweetheart's.

PM me is you're able to help. I'm in Lincolnshire.

PS.... Just can't seem to put the pic on the right way round.....sorry

I though he was a black Minorca ....is that the same thing?

Personally I don't think you've got a chance of rehoming him. No one wants cockerals

^^^TY, couldn't think of that name. In answer to your question Black Minorca is the same as red faced black Spanish. It is almost as bad as chilli plant names

I used to have two Black Minorcan laydees at one time, sadly no longer with us. They also had a lovely temeperament.

Bit late, and too far away or else i would have had him.

And all the very best with re-homing lovely chap Malcolm, he looks splendid..!
It is sad that people don't want cockerels - I think they're fine, funny creatures, with great personalities...
                      Good luck..!

They are lovely looking but they make a racket especially very early on Summer mornings and if you have neighbours can cause some serious upset. Contrary to what people think they will crow all day long, if anyone near works shifts they won't beable to sleep and they can often start around 4am!
This one may be friendly but as they get older they can become more viscious....they aren't a push over if you get a nasty one.

My next door neighbour has a cockerel and he's really nasty (the cockerel not the neighbour!) My other next door neighbour has complained to the council about the noise and its all a bit unpleasant.
I'm sure Malcolm is a real gentleman though and hope he finds a loving home.
