  • Sprint to the finish

Well these two chaps have been battling it out all night as to who was to hatch first, but the one on the left just made it by an egg tooth!

we knew they had hatched as our "early warning" system (aka Maisie the Shiba Inu) started staring at the incubator. She always comes and fetches us when a chick hatches!

      That's so cute.
We've had 2 the same overnight. Got one hatched out. These are Hectors babies 100% on the growth when candled so me, P and the girls are hopeful and excited. First one looks like a splash.
Good luck with the rest of the hatch

Congrats Shelly - they will be nice!!

Hayley, hatching today we have Barbu d'Uccle, Hybrid hens (the type that are battery hens) and pekin surprise - the surprise being that someone mixed up all of the pekin eggs when collecting them (mentioning no names!) so they could be any colour. The ones in the piccy are the hybrids.

Then hatching Wednesday are the ducks - so watch this space!!

Good little doggy - hahahaha - she a neurotic monster!!! RSPCA case a real horror story of a life before us - now a tad neurotic to say the least and requires a patient owner - she is however fascinated by the chicks and guards the incubator!!!!

We're up to 3 now Jenny. I'm not sure if they're all blues. I'll post some pics later, see what you think.
