  • Re introducing new chooks

I lost my last lohmann today, and whilst I am upset about it,have realised I now have the opportunity to get some new ones.I have been reading all the posts regarding introducing new hens to established ones.
    Anyway my question is this,
The three I have left are silkies so they are small and quite timid,if I get new hens they would be bigger than the silkies so would i have the same problems with bullying, pecking order etc.The silkies are always together and it was the lohmanns that were the bosses.
sorry if this is a silly question

Maybe if you got some growers rather than POL they might learn to respect the silkies who might not be so much smaller depending on what you get? Just an idea to throw into the mix!
