    peckers up!

    Went to let the chooks out this am and noticed their water was empty!!
    It must have run out last night cos when I picked it up to wash and refill a couple of the lasses came running over, leaving their breakfast

    So I refilled it- put it down .....and all 6 adults came running over and started drinking.

    I love the way the stood in an orderly circle sipping away like wine experts...must take a piccie next time!!!!

    I took my cleaned and refreshed water bucket out this morning and after I'd put it in the run I remembered I'd not added the apple cider vinegar as I usually do. I went back to get it from the shed and took the big plastic container into the run with me to do it there. Topaz decided it was a new treat and flew up to give it a good pecking! When you haven't got your camera you see the perfect disappointed chook face!

      My four that are still 'quarantined' (only 'til Monday) emptied their water bowl this afternoon. I was earthing up my spuds in tubs and heard this strange noise - it looked like three of the four were trying to get the bowl on their heads as a hat, all at the same time !

      Luckily it's only a plastic bowl, so no harm done - couldn't help laughing at them though!
