    No Eggs??

    Hi
    I have got two chickens 4 weeks ago one started laying about 10 days ago but has not laid for the last 2 days is this normal?? I am new to keeping chickens
    any advice grateful

    They don't lay everyday.
    Could it be that each one had it's day off one day apart- rather than one not laying for 2 days????
    ....or are they different coloured eggs so you can tell one hasn't laid for 2 days???

    Either that- or more likely they are both laying and have laid on different days whilst they are settling in??

      as far as i can tell it is only one laying at moment!! but as you say it could be that they are alternating the laying.
      thanks for your help I will keep an eye on them

        How old are you chooks? Also what breeds are they?
