This is a photo of the egg Bluebelle laid today (the larger one!) and the one she laid yesterday (normal sized). No wonder her eyes were watering!!!

The normal one weighed 54g, the BIG one 86g.
                That's my girl!

One of my ex-batts lays a 90g almost every day. They are round instead of oval and don't fit in an egg cup. Last year we had a couple of over 100g but strangely enough never had a double yolk. The other batties only produce 60/70g. Rose the Wellie has only just started so hers are not very big yet.

It's made me want to start weighing mine now. I have weighed them for cooking but usually in ounces though and I can't remember the weights now.

Jennie (Bramble Poultry) saw this egg that I'd collected today and said I should post a picture on here, so here you are

The "large" one is one of the usuals at 75g, the other is just 12g

Think I might boil it and put it into a packet of mini-eggs. My friend's a devil for pinching my sweets so that'll teach him mwahahaha
