Has anybody any Idea how long it takes after introducing a cockeral to some hens that the eggs become fertile, presuming that everything is in working order ??
About 7 - 10 days. You should notice the cock "treading" fairly soon after introduction, although the hens may take a day or so to get used to him and may boss him around initially, especially if they are older than him. Wait 10 days before collecting eggs for incubation.
