Your expert advice needed please! Had 2 chicks hatch at 3pm and 4pm, the 3rd 30 mins ago. The first 2 are now fluffy and up and about, pecking the inside of the polysterene incy so much I put in some chick crumbs which they are now eating, they are also attempting to preen themselves. Should I put them in the brooder tonight or leave 'til the morning? The 3rd hatched 30 mins ago and they are having a bit of a peck at it!

I'd put them in the brooder. As long as it's up to temp they'll be fine. I often move mine early to give them some leg room without all those eggs to bump into
    Good luck!

They can move into the brooder whnever you are ready as long as they are strong enough and running around and the brooder is warm enough and draught free the move them, it will reduce the risk of newborns getting walked upon during the night as chicks are so clumsy and don;t care whats in their way!

          Hi guys,

I left them in the incy last night, they were fine and then moved the 3 of them to the brooder at 7am this morning. Got 3 left in the incy, can hear tapping and cheeping not broke through though yet. Will have to find the cable for my camera so I can upload a pic of the new chicks in the brooder.
