Geese take between 28 and 32 days; the Muscovy needs 33-35 days. The actual time depends upon variables such as water weight loss, age of the egg when set, and viability of the embryo. Fresh eggs from unrelated birds, with correct weight loss hatch earlier than those with problems. However, expect a hatch to be complete over a 2-3 day period.

I read that you should allow 35 days for goose eggs. Not that they will necessarily take that long, but be prepared for the possibility. Only goose eggs I ever got hatched were hatched by Mummy goose (not many, my best goose died the third year, mid brooding, and the other one only ever hatched 2) , and I wasn't exactly counting, not least because I wasn't sure exactly when she started sitting.

lol, I suppose if Queeny wants my swan, she'll send out the swan-retreival task force. Otherwise theres a nice pond and some ducky 'siblings' for the little guy/lady.

That she is! At least we upgraded from the bantam silkies to sit on the egg, though we have one now with two runner ducklings and she seems pretty chuffed to have such big babies.
