  • Fox repeller

I've just bought one of these from eBay, has anyone else tried them?
ULTRASONIC VERMIN REPELLER - FOX REPELLER 300M / 900FT on eBay, also, Farm Implements Equipment, Agriculture Farming, Business, Office Industrial (end time 23-May-09 00:30:49 BST)
It was recommended to me by another chicken keeper

Haven't tried it but have just bought one after reading your post! Have already got battery for electric fencing and I know we have a fox on the lottie site. Thanks for that Maureen!

Another repellent said to work is human urine!! Collect your pee in a bucket and chuck it round the run perimeter (you can always tell your neighbours it's weedkiller)!

I've heard that too, and apparently it's only male wee that works. Unfortunately the only males here are the 2 young cockerels in the little run

I suppose I could put up a sign on the back fence saying "Men, please wee here"

Human hair is also supposed to be a repellent and my very kind hairdresser friend has just brought me a carrier bag full. So, where's me laddered stockings? Need to make some "hair bags" to hang around the place

Definitely belt and braces this time

A mirror is supposed to be another repellant! Apparently Reynard is supposed to run a mile if he sees a reflection of himself!

Can just see the mental picture in my head now of a fox, cowering at he's reflection, whilst trying to decide to hold he's nose from the wee and hair smells, or put them over he's ears to stop the repelent squealing at him.... and still shaking after being shocked by the leccy fence!

Good job he ain't human, he'd get benefits galore for all that going on! lol :P

And don't forget to add a picture in your mind of me hiding behind the shed with a huge water pistol ready to squirt him
