When I checked the inci last night there was a tiny chip in one of the cream legbar eggs, and this morning I had a chick plus a couple of chipping eggs, so as soon as I got in tonight I abandoned OH (as you do) and hurtled upstairs to look again.
Well there were chicks, some sweet little stripey CLs...and a stonking great big black begger
Its one of Festhers offspring, think its one of the cuckoo maran hens eggs, although it was hard to be sure with half a dozen chicks sat on it

I'm seriously delighted as Festher came to me from Bephlam, and the hen from Lynda66, so 'chicken huge' is 100% grape
If I can get my camera or phone to talk to my computer I'll add some pics..but couldn't wait to post the news
