  • Duckling help anyone?

I'm not sure if there is a standard 'rule' concerning this that can be applied to chicks and ducklings....

Can you put young ducks/chicks of different ages in with each other? I'm talking 2 hatches of 2 and 4 weeks old. Is there too much size difference, or will they be ok?

They will be fine, they are far too young to have developed a "pecking order" and should live together happily.
I have often put eggs into my incubator two and three weeks apart and haven't had any problems.

Ditto - we quite often put younger chicks in with older ones, when they are strong enough to withstand the more active older chicks and assuming that there is not a massive size difference - never had and probs.

Yes, we have done the same, 2 weeks difference. I was worried about having pekin chicks with brahma chicks initially but pekins are feisty little devils and definately top of the pecking order!
